Autumn loves Spokane for its changing seasons and enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, boating, or cooking with her family.
GIANNI
Gianni moved to Spokane from Florida to be closer to family and has embraced life in the city—especially the downtown vibe and nearby hiking trails.
Since joining the team in 2024, he has worked across multiple store locations and enjoys helping customers furnish their homes, whether they’re starting from scratch or adding the final piece.
He especially values working with military families, thanks to the store’s close proximity to the base.
KYLEE
Kylee appreciates Spokane for its beautiful sunsets and strong support system made up of friends, family, and coworkers.
Although she came to 16 Cents with no prior experience in sales or furniture, the team welcomed her and taught her everything she needed to succeed.
She was drawn to the company’s mission, especially its commitment to second chances and community outreach, and is proud to be part of something so purposeful.
LESLIE

LINDSEY
Lindsey was born and raised in Spokane and has a deep love for the community. From skiing at Mt. Spokane to fishing in the local lakes, she finds joy in the natural beauty that surrounds the city.
Joining 16 Cents felt like the perfect match, as she instantly connected with the store’s mission and Jason’s commitment to giving back.
One of her most memorable moments was helping a woman who was rebuilding her life choose a new sofa. It was an emotional experience, filled with hope and fresh beginnings.
Lindsey takes great pride in helping people create warm, welcoming homes and is passionate about making a difference through design.
MELANIE
Melanie is a Pacific Northwest native who lives in Spokane with her husband and their six children. She enjoys the area’s mountain views and peaceful setting.
What she loves about working here is the variety: she gets to do a bit of everything, from placing furniture orders and tracking shipments to building schedules, helping customers with protection plans, posting products online and handling other day-to-day tasks that help keep things running smoothly.
Her husband, who works at the Ash Street location, introduced her to the company—and she’s been an important part of the team ever since.
TIM
Tim is a Spokane native who began working at 16 Cents in 2019.
Over the years, he’s worked his way up by learning every part of the business, guided by mentorship from Jason, the store owner. He takes pride in being part of a company that puts care into every interaction.
For Tim, every day at the store brings something meaningful, and he’s proud to be part of a team that’s more like a family.
SHANE
ANDREW
Andrew and his family have lived in Spokane for almost 15 years. He cherishes his large, happy family, and is happy he gets to work with his wife, Melanie. He started working at 16 cents over 5 years ago. What drew him to the job was the opportunity to grow his sales skills and learn about furniture and home decor. He’s always found fulfillment in helping people create joyful memories, and being a professional salesperson lets him do that every day.
Andrew most appreciates the people here, he feels the team is creative, funny, and goal-driven. He loves building relationships with new faces and seeing familiar ones come back. There’s an energy here that’s unmatched. He enjoys helping folks furnish their homes in a way that fits their budget and still feels like a win.
Every day brings something different, and that’s what keeps it novel, and he likes being kept on his toes.
BRET
Bret most enjoys Spokane for the beautiful lakes, rivers, and trails which offer abundant activities across all seasons. Getting out on the golf course is another draw, so needless to say being outdoors is his favorite.
He values the "Story" of how Jason got started, and believes it’s inspiring to the whole team. The fact that the company graciously gives back to the community is an important factor in why he loves working here.
JUSTIN
Justin appreciates how walkable Spokane is, being able to take the bus and get around easily is key to him.
The story of 16 cents means a lot to him, and he really respects Jason's ingenuity in starting the company. One of his most memorable days since starting in June 2024, was the parking lot sale. Having all the team members in one place working together was very memorable. The support that the whole team offers is meaningful to him, and working with such personable people is an honor.
AUSTIN
Being a Spokane native, Austin has always enjoyed what the city has to offer for hiking, outdoor views, and events like Hoop Fest.
Since starting in March, he has enjoyed how supportive and kind the management are, especially since the environment they foster is one of community. Being on your side is the company’s ethos, and he believes they are different from anyone he’s ever worked for.
KIM
Kim's favorite part of Spokane is the breathtaking views that surround the city. When it comes to dining, his favorite place is Texas Roadhouse, where the delicious food and lively atmosphere never disappoint.
He truly enjoys working at 16 Cents, and his dedication is driven by the meaningful impact behind the company. Kim began his journey here in 2023, and it has been a wonderful experience being on the team since the beginning.
MARK
Mark cherishes Spokane most for its wonderful community, which is like no other. His favorite spot in the city is the Spokane Lighthouse Church, where he feels a strong sense of belonging.
Since joining the team in 2024, he has always appreciated the fantastic team he works with. The highlights of his day include meeting new people, and being a part of such an uplifting team. From bosses to managers to salespeople, everyone adds to the vibrant atmosphere and rewarding experience.
