The name, 16 Cents, 3 Shoes & 5 Socks was developed by the owner as an on-going reminder of what he walked into recovery with. The foundation of this furniture store is about recovery, not just mattresses. As Jason works daily on his recovery he helps others with their recovery. Jason is thankful for organizations like ROAR.
ROAR’s Vision is to be the voice in the community, bringing hope for addicts and families. We believe that they are not bad people, just good people making bad choices. But they don’t have to live in their bad choices; they can change. Their lives are not shameful. What is shameful is a community that will not provide love and support for those that are truly suffering from addictions. That includes the addict, their family and friends. It affects us all! We want to clear up the streets of Spokane one addict at a time; we want families to rebuild and children to get a clean and fair start in life.
We want to make our community a healthier, happier, safer place to live. We want to help those who choose to break the chains of addiction with guidance, direction and support. Our goal is to make the community aware of the H.O.P.E. in recovery.
